Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryURSULA CHRISTA REAGAN
A force of nature named Ursula Christa Reagan left her body behind at 7:57 p.m. on March 26, with a quiet and peaceful last breath. She was 73 years old.
Ursula was born on Christmas Day in Frankfurt, Germany. At the age of two, she immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada with her parents, Erich and Elfriede. In those early years, the family purchased a television - a considerable expense at the time - so that young Ursula could begin learning English. She delighted in telling people that her early education came courtesy of I Love Lucy and Hockey Night in Canada.
Ursula attended Elmwood High School in Winnipeg. She was previously married to Milan (Mike) Sajatovic, and together they raised two children, Elizabeth and Daniel. Near the end of the 1990s, Ursula moved to Florida, and in 2001 she married Ron Reagan.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Reagan; her daughter, Elizabeth (Steve) Armitage, and their son, Jake; her son, Daniel (Shawna) Sajatovic, and their children, Michael and Ashley; her brother, Eric (Deidre) and their children, Jonathan and Adrienne; her sister, Patricia (Alan) Reider and their son, Benjamin; her nephew, Tyler, son of her late brother Kelly; and her stepchildren, Pace and Brett. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Erich Damm and Elfriede Damm (née Klein).
Ursula had a deep love of reading, particularly the works of Stephen King, and was a devoted fan of film and television. She and Ron cultivated a love of fine dining, taking particular delight in introducing friends and family to their favorite restaurants and sharing those experiences together. Perhaps one of the most cherished expressions of her love came in the form of a series of hand-crocheted blankets she made for her niece and nephews - large, colourful, and each one uniquely designed around something the child loved. Presented all at once, they were a labor of love in the truest sense. Ursula possessed a detailed memory for events that occurred even forty or more years past - right down to what people were wearing - as well as a remarkable encyclopedic knowledge of actors and pop culture, inspiring their friend Charlie to say: "She was Google before there was a Google."
Ron adds: "Nobody on this side of the veil knows what is on the other side - but if such a thing is possible, I hope she has been reunited with her beloved dog Tess, and that they are frolicking through the universe together."
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Doctors Without Borders.
